The Pumpkin House Transparency
At The Pumpkin House, we believe every penny of kindness should be seen and celebrated. That's why we're completely open about how donations work — from the moment they're given to the moment they reach the charities we support.
How Donations Are Made
You can donate in a few ways during our events:
- Cash donations — popped straight into cash drawers
- Card or phone donations — via our contactless terminals
- Online donations — through our official links or QR codes
How Donations Are Stored and Tracked
We take donation handling seriously
- Cash is counted with at least two people present
- Contactless and online donations go directly into The Pumpkin House fundraising account
- We record every total and publish our fundraising summaries after each event
How Your Donation Is Used
We want to be totally upfront about how funds are used and where they go:
100% of donations (after unavoidable fees) go toward:
- Supporting the chosen charities
- Covering small costs directly related to collecting donations that encourage giving like goody bag items, balloons etc
No money is taken or reimbursed for:
- Decorations or props
- Marketing materials
- Equipment or personal assets
- Volunteer time or personal expenses
Fees and Deductions
We’re proud that most of what you give goes straight where it should. Here’s exactly how it breaks down:
- Card donations - payment providers charge a small 1.8% fee.
- Cash donations - 100% goes directly to charity.
Public Fundraising Reports
After each event, we publish a short summary showing:
- Total funds raised
- What (if anything) was spent on fundraising materials
- The total ammount passed on to charity
- Proof of donation (receipts or screenshots)
